National charity SOVA has become the first non-governmental partner to sign up to the Compact and secure Compact Voice’s Compliance Mark. Working with Compact Voice, SOVA has developed a Compact compliant preferred provider process for new tendering opportunities and contracting which is being launched this month.
SOVA works to support, challenge and inspire people to make changes to improve their lives and fulfil their potential - supporting people into training and jobs, into volunteering and away from offending. Director of Services and Markets, Sarah Mallender, says: “Giving people a fair chance to get on life is at the heart of all we do so it makes absolute sense that we apply the same ethos to working with partners.
“We want to provide the best services possible and that means we often have to partner with other providers. As a contractor ourselves we know how important it is to have a fair and transparent tendering and contracting process from government and we believe that our providers and partners should expect no less from us. We want to lead by example and embed Compact principles within our own supply chain.”
Compact Voice Manager, Tom Elkins comments: “We are delighted that SOVA has come forward as our first non-statutory partner and would encourage other organisations to follow their example and make sure their processes are Compact compliant.”
